Zagor and Cico land in Veracruz along with Denise, who wants to free his father, the pirate Jean Lafitte, imprisoned by the Mexicans on charges of smuggling weapons for the rebels. Zagor tries to track down Richter and Velasquez, who, in turn, came to Mexico in search of a lost city in the Yucatan jungle. Volume Description
Zagor was the first regular publication in the standard Sergio Bonelli Editore format (21 x 16 cm) dedicated to the popular eponymous hero.
It was originally published under the "Collana Zenith" volume, that, from issue #52, changed its name to "Zagor" . So the issues have a "double" numbering: Zagor #1 is also Zenith #52, Zagor #2 is also Zenith #53, and so on.
The fist 68 issues (under the "Zagor" numbering) contain stories previously published in strips. From issue #68 they are all unpublished stories.
All covers were drawn by Gallieno Ferri.
