Created by Marvel Architects Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo, this new era of X-Men tales begins in this volume. Professor Xavier is no longer responsible for a a school filled with mutant kids. That's Wolverine's job at the new Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. The series lasted for 42 issues, after which it was directly continued into Wolverine & the X-Men Vol 2.
