It’s been one year and one day since Dame Hatÿfe disappeared in Eckmül.
Her will is therefore opened and the Solicitor is surprised to learn that she had a daughter with the Venerable Rysta Fuquatou. But the child was brought up by the Trolls.
Two young clerks are sent to the village of Phalompe to bring back to Eckmül the heiress to the house once held by Dame Hatÿfe: Waha.
But it is not the right moment to reveal Rysta’s paternity. The election of the Venerables of Eckmül is beginning and his paternity could create a scandal and destabilize him.
