Volume Description
This series is part of the MAX comics imprint and does not feature the 616 reality or "Main Marvel Universe" Punisher. It was critically acclaimed, cited for its realistic, uncompromising stories. Ennis left the title late in 2008, after writing sixty issues for the book and finishing his eight year run of writing The Punisher comics. It was renamed as Punisher: Frank Castle with issue 66 to avoid confusion with Marvel's new earth 616 or "Main Marvel Universe" Punisher Volume 5 series.
