Issue Description

While on the trail of some of New York's major drug dealers, Frank discovers that they are being shipped from Bolivia. He gets a flight over there with one of his old platoon lieutenants. The lieutenant was corrupt and Frank claims to have changed to his way of thinking. He learns that his old General is running the operation. When he claims to want to join they ask him to execute a innocent person to prove that he is loyal, but he can't do it. He attacks the gang instead. Frank retreats and uses the Forrest as camouflage. He takes down the gang one by one until he finally kills his old General. With this gang gone Frank stopped one third of the drug trafficking in New York.

This is the first ongoing comic book series starring the fictional Marvel Comics vigilante The Punisher, following a limited series published the previous year. It lasted for 104 issues after witch this title, as well as Punisher's other two comics Punisher: War Journal and Punisher: War Zone, where cancelled and merged into Punisher Volume 3.

This series also spawned seven annuals, as well as the annuals The Punisher Summer Special #1-4 , The Punisher: Back to School Special #1-3 and The Punisher Holiday Special #1-3.
