After finding out Cringe is Microchip, Punisher finds himself trapped in a reconstruction of his old home while being assaulted with home videos of his family. This is an extreme intervention for Frank on Microchip's behalf! Meanwhile, Carlos is out on the street making the best of his new life as the Punisher.

This is the first ongoing comic book series starring the fictional Marvel Comics vigilante The Punisher, following a limited series published the previous year. It lasted for 104 issues after witch this title, as well as Punisher's other two comics Punisher: War Journal and Punisher: War Zone, where cancelled and merged into Punisher Volume 3.

This series also spawned seven annuals, as well as the annuals The Punisher Summer Special #1-4 , The Punisher: Back to School Special #1-3 and The Punisher Holiday Special #1-3.
