The denizens of Colombiana don't much believe in the Long Count - the end of the Mayan calendar and the end of the world - but Carmen Sandoval, a 23-year old national sports hero, has heard her master's call. Carmen returns to el Barrio, the city she abandoned five years previously, and is immediately set upon by old rivals bearing ill will and dirty magic. But no one will stand in the way of her duty - to find the great dragon Quetzalcoatl, her master and guide, and assume the burden she is destined to fulfill!
