Volume Description
Writers Mark Waid and Bryan Augustyn, with artists Gil Kane, Joe Staton and Tom Palmer, recounted the life and times of the Silver Age Flash, Barry Allen in this 96 page hardcover. The mostly prose special issue was designed to read like a tell - all biography of a nonfiction celebrity, and was supposedly written by photojournalist and Flash's long term love interest Iris Allen. It boasted a realistic cover by painter Glenn Orbik, too, to help add to its pretense. Also featuring sequential comic sections, this touching tribute spanned Barry's entire career, from his origin until his death during the grand-scale Crisis on Infinite Earths maxi series.
