Issue Description

Red-hot writer Gail Simone (BIRDS OF PREY) joins forces with the art team of Dan Jurgens (SUPERMAN) & Andy Smith (GREEN LANTERN) for the biweekly 4-issue story "For No Better Reason!" When a blackout strikes the tech-dependent city of Metropolis, it leaves a handful of Legionnaires as the only barrier against complete chaos! Plus, a new team of super-villains dressed as 21st-century heroes takes the opportunity to put into motion an audacious plan to assassinate the President of the United Planets!

An assassination attempt is made against the President of the UP, Winema Wazzo. The attempt occurs during a ceremony to honor the Legion. At the time of the assassination, the assassin's teammates mastermind an electronic attack on Earth, disabling every electronic device. Karate Kid is also found stuck in the middle of a prison with freed prisoner.
