Brande's peace mission to the Second Galaxy goes disastrously wrong when his team falls foul of the murderous Credo. But when the Credo discovers that Livewire has been reincarnated in Element Lad's body, they fear it means only one thing: The supremely evil Progenitor is back!
The Credo, led by Singularity, make the presence known to the Legion by kidnapping some of their members. Believing that the Progenitor is still alive, though it is really Live Wire in Element Lad's body, the Credo also kidnap him and intend to kill him.
