Issue Description

The Phantom who was in the jungle of Bengali is now in the concrete jungle of New York City tracking down the criminals. Kit learns more about the invisible suit that he has and on pursuit, he often gets mental flashes of his father and his advice on various circumstances. There are sub plots while the ghost who walks saves the innocent from local thugs.

Kit finally gets to Bock, one of Peter's men near central park west in New York. He then lets him free to take a message to his boss.... With skull marks all over his face!!

Dynamite entertainment, under the license of King Features Syndicate, started this new series of the Last Phantom that spins around a completely different story compared to the conventional Phantom stories. Alex Ross and Blackest Night artists Joe Prado and Fabiano Neves have presented new the Ghost who walks in a whole new way, while Scott Beatty has scripted it.

The story first begins with no Phantom. The 21st Phantom was the last of the series. Kit Walker Jr. refused to take up the mantle as the masked crime fighter and is on a comfortable ride of life and family, while handling the day-to-day affairs of the Walkabout Foundation, an organization created by one of the previous Walkers to help support charities in Bengala, and the surrounding nations of Africa. This volume of comic books describes the Kit Walker Jr.'s course and whether he will continue to lead that comfortable life or does the destiny bring him back to be the Guardian of the Eastern Dark.
