Issue Description

The cloud about Krieghund clears up. The government has a search party out for the philanthropist Kit Walker, but no remains has been found yet. Peter Quisling, the head of Krieghund is not too happy since there is no confirmation on the death of Kit.

Meanwhile Kit travels across the Atlantic ocean with Hero and Devil on board a ship headed towards New York. During the journey he cherishes fond memories of Radhi and his father's remarks about his love life. An attack on the ship by some local thugs the Phantom escapes from the ship and finally manages to reach New York.

Dynamite entertainment, under the license of King Features Syndicate, started this new series of the Last Phantom that spins around a completely different story compared to the conventional Phantom stories. Alex Ross and Blackest Night artists Joe Prado and Fabiano Neves have presented new the Ghost who walks in a whole new way, while Scott Beatty has scripted it.

The story first begins with no Phantom. The 21st Phantom was the last of the series. Kit Walker Jr. refused to take up the mantle as the masked crime fighter and is on a comfortable ride of life and family, while handling the day-to-day affairs of the Walkabout Foundation, an organization created by one of the previous Walkers to help support charities in Bengala, and the surrounding nations of Africa. This volume of comic books describes the Kit Walker Jr.'s course and whether he will continue to lead that comfortable life or does the destiny bring him back to be the Guardian of the Eastern Dark.
