Issue Description

Kit Walker finds the mercenaries in Bengali and about their suit that turns the one who is wearing invisible! He tracks each of them down and kills them, including the specific ones that killed his wife. There is blood bath and his apprentice Micheal gets killed. Kit then captures some of them to find out about who sent them to destroy his family and their motives.

With his family and his son killed and joined the ghosts of his forefathers, Kit could well be the only surviving Phantom.

Dynamite entertainment, under the license of King Features Syndicate, started this new series of the Last Phantom that spins around a completely different story compared to the conventional Phantom stories. Alex Ross and Blackest Night artists Joe Prado and Fabiano Neves have presented new the Ghost who walks in a whole new way, while Scott Beatty has scripted it.

The story first begins with no Phantom. The 21st Phantom was the last of the series. Kit Walker Jr. refused to take up the mantle as the masked crime fighter and is on a comfortable ride of life and family, while handling the day-to-day affairs of the Walkabout Foundation, an organization created by one of the previous Walkers to help support charities in Bengala, and the surrounding nations of Africa. This volume of comic books describes the Kit Walker Jr.'s course and whether he will continue to lead that comfortable life or does the destiny bring him back to be the Guardian of the Eastern Dark.
