The sequel to Kingdom Come as part of a "Fifth Week Event". It was two issues, along with five spin-off one-shots.
Writer Mark Waid returned to the kingdom he helped envision with this series of specials designed as a sequel to the hit miniseries Kingdom Come. With two bookends entitled The Kingdom and 5 specials focusing on various characters or locations from the possible future reality, these one-shots provided updates to the lives of the Kingdom Come characters, and detailed the first meeting of the Kingdom Come Universe and the DC Universe proper. They also introduced the concept of Hypertime, an interconnected web of parallel timelines.
