Issue Description
A bold new beginning for The Scarlet Speedster, as new series artist Alberto Dose makes his debut! In the aftermath of the most horrific attack on The Flash ever, the Fastest Man Alive is nowhere to be found! As Keystone City becomes a breeding ground for lethal street races and rogues, a new type of Flash emerges, a new identity, one we can't say anything else about!
Street racers have taken over the streets of Keystone City, and the cops seem powerless to stop them. The only two who seem to care, Detective Jared Morillo and Detective Fred Chyre are busy trying to solve the murder of Adams Perkins, the Keystone City Police Department's Forensic Scientist, who was frozen to death in the middle of August.
Meanwhile, Wally West, who has no idea he is the Flash, is working the overnight shift as a mechanic for the K.C.P.D. He is enjoying the job and likes his boss, Wheeler, but hates the hours, and isn't sure about Reece, Wheeler's daughter who works in the shop too.
When Wally goes to lunch he meets a strange man named Len, who unknown to Wally is Captain Cold. The pair share a conversation, like they met for the first time, even though they have battled countless times. When Wally gets home, his wife Linda is leaving for school, and implies that there relationship is on the rocks due to the lost of their twins and the hours of Wally's job.
That night as Wally drives to work, he gets an accident, but time seems to freeze and he is able to get the people involved free from danger. Then time starts back up and an explosion launches Wally from the scene. When he wakes up , no one knows what he did. Wally thinks it was all a dream but a strange man give Wally a ring and says "its time to run again" and disappears into the crowd.
