Issue Description

A grand celebration is held in honor of the Avengers, as Hercules is offered a spot on the team. But deep in the shadows Super-Adaptoid lurks, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce.

After The Avengers saved the world from The Mandarin, New York City shows its gratitude by naming a day Avenger’s Day. A big procession is being held in their honour in Central Park where all The Avengers are to attend. An adoring crowd gathers and unbeknownst to anyone, a former foe of Captain America is hidden among them.

Hawkeye and Hercules keep the crowd entertained while Captain America is delayed but by the time he arrives, both Thor and Iron Man have left to attend to other matters. The remaining Avengers announce that Hercules is now an official member of the team, however as the Son of Zeus makes his acceptance speech, The Super-Adaptoid attacks. The Android, whose mission is to destroy Captain America, has been absorbing the powers of all The Avengers while hidden in the crowd. Now The Avengers, without the aid of Thor and Iron Man, have to defeat an enemy who has all their powers combined.
