Issue Description
When a pounding Spider-Sense headache leads Spider-Man to the comatose body of his biggest, toughest foe, he realises that something — or someone — can indeed stop the Juggernaut! But who? How? And who are they coming for next? Can Spider-Man find out before it's too late? And will Peter Parker ever get to have dinner with Carlie Cooper?
Plus, discover the secrets of the origins of one Spidey’s deadliest foes, the master of illusion and nightmares… Mysterio!
Also, Curt Connors has played a tricky role in the life of Peter Parker – at his best, he’s an ally whom even Spider-Man must keep an eye on. At his worst, he’s The Lizard – a ferocious creature with killer instincts – and Connors’ fine scientific mind to boot. Now, be prepared for The Lizard’s sense-shattering return!

Spider-Man is Marvel’s most popular character. An iconic superhero who is recognised across the globe and whose exploits have conquered TV, cartoons, blockbuster movies and, most obviously, for over forty years in comics! Panini have been publishing Astonishing Spider-Man for more than 10 years and continues to bring the very best in Spidey action to an avid readership. Every 76-page issue is packed with exciting comic strips exploring the ongoing adventures of the Wall-crawler as well as ‘classic’ tales from Spidey’s early years.
Astonishing Spider-Man is published in the original sub-A4 American format. It reprints selected stories from the US strips, always following the most recent storylines whilst reprinting classic tales as back-up strips. It is presented on higher quality paper than the US comics and features much fewer adverts than its US counterpart, arguably making it even more collectible!
Volume 1 ran for 150 issues,Volume 2 for 69 issues and Volume 3 ran for 100 before relaunching to Volume 4.
The Astonishing Spider-Man is published every two weeks.
