Issue Description
Behold the terrifying true potential of the Swamp Thing – a form so fearsome we couldn't put it on the cover! The Green sought a warrior king, and now they have one…but will they regret unleashing a being this powerful? And can all that strength save Abigail Arcane from her destiny in the Rot's clutches?
This issue opens with a farmer in Idaho, going out to his fields but finding them barren. Then in Utah a father and son hunting are attacked by seemingly undead wildlife. In Wyoming and Arizona, tornadoes of bugs attack the populace. This is the extent of the Rot's evil spreading in America. We are finally shown the Bone Kingdom where Sethe and Abby reside and we see Swamp Thing flying toward the center.
As Alec approaches Sethe's kingdom, Sethe's minions prepare for the coming assault. When Alec arrives he forms a sword and shield out of his hands and begins slicing away at the minions. He calls out for Abby desperately looking for her so that he can free her before she is transformed. Just as he approaches the cocoon Abby bursts out, transformed and a parallel to Sethe. She strikes her claws right through Alec.
