Volume Description
Numbering continues from The Saga of Swamp Thing Annual #1. These six annuals were for the second Swamp Thing volume named The Saga of Swamp Thing when #2 was released but named Swamp Thing for the succeeding five. Despite the series and previous annual being named The Saga of Swamp Thing, #2's indicia reads "Swamp Thing Annual". Only six and seven were written by the same writer (at the beginning and near the end of her run) and the fourth and fifth annuals were written by creators who never were the official series writer although Bissette (#4) guest-wrote a few issues of the main series and Gaiman (#5) was intended to follow Veitch as the series writer but due to controversy did not and merely wrote an annual featuring Brother Power the Geek to fulfill his contract.
