The Fantastic Faces! (Superboy, Ma and Pa Kent, Lana Lang / written by Otto Binder)In the dimension of Thraxx, the head of Galaxo Movie Studios made a new reality show starring Superboy! But to boost the ratings, ma and Pa are made younger by putting a youth serum in the well water. The effects are permanent, and Superboy worries that people will become suspicious and find out he's Clark Kent. What can he do when there's nothing in his power to restore the Clarks to their older selves?
Superboy Meets William Tell! (Superboy, Ma and Pa Kent / written by Jerry Siegel : reprinted from: Superboy #84)In this "Demand Classic," Clark Kent has to write a report on William Tell and what better way to research than going in the past to find him? When Superboy arrives, he sees William about to shoot an arrow at his son, but he doesn't look like he'll be successful, so Superboy suggests that Tell should practice on him first, since he's invulnerable. So William practices and eventually gets it right and is able to do it with his son.

Superboy had been making appearances as the lead feature in Adventure Comics since early 1946, but he finally debuted in his own series in 1949. Any Superman fans who were unaware of the concept of the "adventures of Superman when he was a boy" may have been reassured by the fact that the man of steel himself introduced the series on the cover of the first issue. The Superboy series would feature work by the likes of France E. Heron and William Woolfolk and its success would last for over 30 years.
