Volume Description
Short-lived British anthology comic based on the 1980s toy line from Tonka.
Despite a preview issue being given away with 2000AD (prog 546) and the Eagle (issue 293), only nine fortnightly issues were published (October 1987 - March 1988). As a sign of things to come, from issue five, the paper quality drops from its initial glossy finish to a much cheaper matt stock.
None of the issues have any writer or artist credits.
The series has a real Scream! vibe and outside the main toyline story, there's the creepy serial 'The Doll' and plenty of one-off horror stories by old Scream! artists such as Vivas (who illustrated 'The Drowning Pond' from Scream! issue three), John Cooper and Jim Watson (who illustrated 'Tales from the Undertaker' stories).
Folding after nine issues, two specials followed - a Super Naturals Adventure Book (essentially an oversized reprint collection) and a Holiday Special.
