Issue Description
"Search for a Hero" continues as Robin tries to save one young boy from drowning in the tidal wave of gang warfare drenching a newly anarchic Gotham City. But why does Ragman not want the boy to be saved? And why is Spoiler paying a visit to the General?During a protest of the arrests of Officers Wise and Cavallo, Scarab appears and begins shooting the crowd. Robin shows up and gets Scarab away from the crowd, which also allows her to escape.
At school, Tim finds the place half empty. He hasn't seen Spoiler for two days but does see some gang members selling drugs in the bathrooms. He knows something needs to be done.
Meanwhile Spoiler is being held by the General, who is patching up her gunshot wound after he shot her. He tells her his plans to become Robin's main adversary. Spoiler uses her charm and fists to escape.
Robin is still at a loss of how to deal with all the violence in Gotham. He takes out the Batmobile to try to put some fear out there. He soon comes across a new member of the Golden Dragons going by the name Lynx. Not afraid of Batman in the Batmobile, she calls him out. Robin has no choice but to use the riot control guns that shoot rubber bullets. As he prepares to use them, Scarab shoots the road away from around the Batmobile. Robin has to reveal himself and ejects out of the Batmobile when Scarab starts using real bullets on the gang members. Spoiler comes to his aid but is still hurting.
Things get worse when Red Robin reveals himself with an attack against Robin.

Volume Description
Starring: Tim Drake as Robin (III) and Stephanie Brown as the Spoiler / Robin (IV).
Following on from Robin (1991), Robin II: The Joker's Wild (1991) and Robin III: Cry of the Huntress (1992).
House AdTim Drake had grown up idolizing the Batman. A brilliant young mind, Tim earned his place by the Dark Knight's side by deducing Bruce Wayne's dual identity, and then proving his own ingenuity. When Batman's back was shattered by the criminal known as Bane, and Jean-Paul Valley (alias Azrael) took over the mantle of the bat, it didn't take Robin long to realize that it is not the Batsuit that makes the man. As Batman, Valley insisted that he didn't need a partner, and continued to prove his point by bricking up Tim's private entrance to the Batcave. So, in the debut issue of his own ongoing series, Robin fired up his sleek sports car named Redbird and embarked on a solo career, with the help of writer Chuck Dixon and artist Tom Grummett, not to mention a deluxe embossed cover. The series was an instant success.
Although his relationship with Batman ebbed and flowed over the years, and Dixon left the title after a remarkable 100 issue run, Robin's series lasted 183 issues plus a #0 and #1000000 issue before being given a name change and a reboot. Tim Drake proved a reader favorite and paved the way for other spin-off Bat-family ongoing titles like Azrael, Nightwing and Batgirl.
The adventures of Tim Drake and Stephanie Brown continue into Red Robin (2009) and Batgirl (2009).
