Volume was formerly titled as Punisher (Max Comics) vol. 1. It was renamed as Punisher: Frank Castle with issue 66 to avoid confusion with Marvel's new earth 616 or "Main Marvel Universe" Punisher Volume 5 series. The Max Punisher series itself lasted untill issue 75 and was then continued in PunisherMAX.
