This series is continued from New Avengers Vol.1. Starring: Luke Cage (Leader), Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, The Thing, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Victoria Hand, Mockingbird, Jessica Jones, Doctor Strange and Daredevil as New Avengers. Squirrel Girl also serves as the nanny for Luke & Jessica's baby. The series concluded with issue 34, ending Brian Michael Bendis' run on the team, together with the conclusion of The Avengers Vol.4.

The series was replaced as part of the Marvel Now! event. A new volume, New Avengers Vol.3, started soon afterwards, starring the Illuminati Avengers team.
