Issue Description
Hulk, wandering in the desert, is taken in by an Indian shaman who calms Hulk with a meditative fire. While in a trancelike state, Hulk is attacked by Hammer and Anvil. During the scuffle, Hammer is shot in the face by Scourge, who had been disguised as the shaman, and is killed instantly. Due to Hammer and Anvil's lifeforce bond, Anvil shortly dies, too. Hulk is confused, but mostly by the left behind mask that was the face of the Shaman who had been kind to him.

Volume Description
Marvel Fanfare Volume 1
In this series, mostly characters with no own comicbook-series starred in stories with high quality art by the top artists of the industry. It was printed on high quality paper as well. Although the series lasted for 10 years, it only had 60 issues published. Some 4 and a half years later, Marvel Fanfare Vol.2 was started.
