Issue Description

While the JLA investigates the Martian Manhunter's seeming death on the moon, J'onn slowly recovers on Earth. Appearances by Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Steel, Huntress, Big Barda, Plastic Man, Flash, and Orion.

With J'onn out of the picture, Malefic decides the Justice League must follow suit. J'onn literally reforms himself after faking his death, while recounting the time when he defended his brother before the Father of the Elders. Absorbing mass from the Earth, J'onn prepares to bring Malefic to justice.

Chronicling the Manhunter's journey to earth and his adoption of the identity of police detective John Jones - as well as many other human identities - this reinvention of a classic character ran until issue #36.
