Issue Description

Isis, Magda, and Ishtar use their magic to try to track down the source of evil in Montreal as Kevin, Joe, and Wally look on.  Wally warns Kevin against the dangers of magic-tinged love, but Kevin and Magda quickly fall for each other.  Joe continues Wally's theme of worry, however, as he comments that it seems that Kevin is almost magically enchanted with Magda's charms.  Even Kevin is a bit worried.
 
They decide to look around for some nasties.  Joe runs into Ishtar, who seduces him.  But it turns out that she is really a Leanhaun Sidhe, a succubus, and she takes control of him.

Volume Description

The Hero Defined is the second series in the planned Mage trilogy.  It comes after The Hero Discovered and before The Hero Denied.  It was published many years after the first series.  The third series has not yet been published, many years after the second series.  The second series had more of a mixed critical reception than the first series, but still had an enthusiastic following.
 
In it, Kevin Matchstick has become a more experienced and successful warrior, but to the detriment of his character.  He must find his second mage in order to learn how to move on to a better path--although he doesn't see it like that.
