Issue Description

Kevin Matchstick, Kirby Hero, and the Presbyter descend down into the faerie realms. They find a midnight maze being guarded by Cerberus. They fight him, but get knocked into the maze. Kirby and Kevin escape, but the Presbyter is lost inside. The two go on. The Sprigginflints drop a rock on Kevin, and Kirby has to pull it off. They finally find Joe and beat the Leanhaun Sidhe with the help of the bogart that they saved from the Sprigginflints earlier. Kevin heals Joe with the Bat, and the three of them continue deeper into Emil's realm.

Volume Description

The Hero Defined is the second series in the planned Mage trilogy.  It comes after The Hero Discovered and before The Hero Denied.  It was published many years after the first series.  The third series has not yet been published, many years after the second series.  The second series had more of a mixed critical reception than the first series, but still had an enthusiastic following.
 
In it, Kevin Matchstick has become a more experienced and successful warrior, but to the detriment of his character.  He must find his second mage in order to learn how to move on to a better path--although he doesn't see it like that.
