Issue Description

Once news breaks out that Tony Stark is alive and well, and is beginning his recuperation in physical therapy, he is attacked by a Berserker. Could this mean the Controller has returned to finish Tony Stark off?

Synopsis

The world reacts to the news that Tony Stark is alive. Meanwhile, Tony Stark reluctantly begins a slow recuperation with his new physical therapist, Veronica Benning. Through his remote control Telepresence Armor, Stark encounters a Berserker at his apartment and senses that his old foe the Controller has returned.

Iron Man Volume 1

Iron Man Vol. 1 is Iron Man's first ongoing solo series. The series was launched following the success of the Iron Man stories in Tales of Suspense and continues from the one shot Iron Man and Sub-Mariner which picks up the story arc from Tales of Suspense #99. Many of the classic story lines and characters that are part of comic history today originate from this volume. The series started in 1968 and lasted all the way to 1996. Continues in Iron Man Vol.2.

Created by writers Stan Lee and Larry Lieber and artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby, Iron Man's first appearance was in Tales of Suspense #39.
