Mark Grayson is just like everyone else his age, except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet. And now he's begun to inherit his father's powers. It all sounds okay at first, but how do you follow in your father's footsteps when you know you will never live up to his standards? Machine Head was the king of the super-villain underworld for years. Nothing could stop him: He was untouchable. Now, with the help of villain-turned-hero Titan, Invincible is almost single-handedly taking down the most powerful crime boss the world has ever seen, but he's got to get through a legion of super-powered cronies first.

Invincible helps Titan take down his crime boss, Machine Head. Invincible gets hurt pretty bad by Machine Head's henchmen, but the Guardians of the Globe show up to save him. In the end...it looks like Titan has taken over Machine Head's place.
