Starring: Bart Allen as Impulse. Writer Mark Waid and artist Humberto Ramos unleashed Impulse in his own series, just a few short months after the character's initial debut. In this ongoing title, young Bart Allen set up camp in the town of Manchester, Alabama under the guidance of speedster guru Max Mercury. Combining a lighthearted feel with interesting new villains, Impulse was a gamble that paid off, running 89 issues. The character of Impulse himself later earned a place on the super hero teams Young Justice and the Teen Titans.
