This is a 32 page comic, adapting the life story of Maria Anne Hirschmann, from her 1973 autobiography of the same name. The comic shows us Hansi's life from the time she won a scholarship into the Hitler Youth program, through WWII, and on to America, where she eventually finds Christ.

The comic, which can be read here, had much ground to cover, and it comes off a little odd - like Hansi would believe anything that came her way. This is probably a product of having to sum a person's life up in thirty-two pages of comic. Whatever the case, Hansi is one of the most ridiculed comics of the Spire Christian Comics line.

The comic was reprinted in 1977. The autobiography was re-released in 1978, and again in 1980. Perhaps in answer to the ridicule the comic received over the years, it was released again in 1997, this time titled Hansi: The Girl Who Left the Swastika.
