Issue Description

Johnny meets a girl name Crystal and soon discovers she is inhuman! Upon meeting her family, Johnny recognizes Medusa and immediately calls the Fantastic Four for backup. Their mysterious leader Black Bolt arrives and the two teams face off!

While wandering aimlessly around town, Johnny spies a pretty young girl sitting near a gaping hole in a wall. He goes close to investigate, but the girl tries to escape. It is only when he uses his flames that she sees he is "like her". That is, not human!

The Girl's name is Crystal, and she invites Johnny to come meet her family, who seem to be residing under the city catacombs. But once Johnny sets his eyes on the family, he instantly recognizes Medusa, and realizes it is a family of Inhumans!

He bursts out to the surface, and calls in the rest of the Fantastic Four to deal with the problem. No sooner have the two teams begun to face off, when the Inhumans mysterious leader BLACK BOLT arrives!!!

This is Crystal's first appearance, and looking at her here, it's no wonder Johnny fell so hard for her!

Volume Description

The Fantastic Four were created in response to DC's Justice League and soon became the Silver Age's premier superhero team. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby collaborated on the opening 102 issues of the magazine, and told the adventures of Mr. Fantastic, the Thing, Invisible Woman and the Human Torch. This first volume ran through issue #416, before it was rebooted as Fantastic Four (vol. 2) (13 issues) as part of the short lived Heroes Reborn arc. The series was restarted again with issue 1 in Fantastic Four (vol. 3) before it reverted back to the original numbering with issue #500.
