Issue Description
In Peru, the team battled the Mimic, a mutant and long-time associated of the X-Men, when his powers went out of control following his containment by a group of Prime Sentinels. Although Excalibur managed to subdue the Mimic, Nightcrawler couldn't hide his disappointment at their failure to discern the where-abouts of their mentor, Professor Xavier. At any rate, it was decided that the Mimic would return to Muir Island with the group to recover frim his injuries. Meanwhile, Brian Braddock, the former Captain Britiain, returned home to Meggan, revealing thet he still hasn't regained the use of his powers. The two decided to marry immediately, but Meggan is fearful that Brian will learn of her attraction to Colossus in his absence and end their engagement.

Volume Description
After the X-Men seemingly died during the Fall of the Mutants, X-Men's Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler teamed up with Captain Britain and Megan to save Rachel Grey and soon formed the British superhero team Excalibur! Excalibur was created by Chris Claremont and Alan Davis. Excalibur started in Excalibur Special Edition before they got their own monthly series.
The series lasted for 125 issues after witch the team disbanned and Colossus, Nightcrawler and Kitty Pryde returned to the X-Men.
