Issue Description
Despite Piotr Rasputin and Meggan's efforts, the bomb-damaged plane that they were taking to Paris crashes in the Swiss Alps. Suriving the crash-landing, Colossus carries the injured Meggan toward a light he spied from a distance.
Meanwhile, in Hamburg, Germany, Pete Wisdom meets his contact, Goethe, who provides enough information to make him suspect a woman from his past is returning to cause him trouble. Wisdom and Nightcrawler follow their lead to a museum in the town of Kassel where they ambushed.
On Muir Island, Douglock ponders his growing feelings for Rahne Sinclair.
Back in the Alps, the exhausted Colossus, having carried Meggan through miles of frozen trails, collapses near the gates of the tower of Wundagore.

Volume Description
After the X-Men seemingly died during the Fall of the Mutants, X-Men's Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler teamed up with Captain Britain and Megan to save Rachel Grey and soon formed the British superhero team Excalibur! Excalibur was created by Chris Claremont and Alan Davis. Excalibur started in Excalibur Special Edition before they got their own monthly series.
The series lasted for 125 issues after witch the team disbanned and Colossus, Nightcrawler and Kitty Pryde returned to the X-Men.
