One of the boys has levitation gift and accidentally floats the egg out of the smokehatch, where Tyldak was spying upon them. He steals the egg and flies away, only to be tracked by Kahvi and have the egg filched by a family of weasels.

Volume Description
Kahvi is the Go-Backs chieftain who did not receive enough attention in the Original ElfQuest.
The story takes place during the "sleeping period" of ElfQuest: Kings of the Broken Wheel, but definetly after ElfQuest: Siege At Blue Mountain. She becomes a romantic item with Tyldak, who at first escorts her directly to the Blue Mountain Rubble, to commune with the mystic yogi Egg. Egg allows Kahvi to filch his tiny stone creation, which she shows to her tribe as well as the Trolls.
The egg becomes a treasure that enchanted Picknose into allowing Kahvi to stay with the cave trolls. She meets up with Nightfall, Old Maggoty, and Drub, sharing the story of her struggle along the way. Eventually she returns to the Go-Backs and teaches them all that they are Wolfriders.
