Kristin was still a child when her parents died during a paleo - anthropological research on the slopes of a volcano in Iceland , her native country . Since then she has repeatedly had nightmares where his parents were returning to visit her ; nightmares that vanished only when she moved to London to complete her studies. But one day the nightmares return , right when in Iceland some researchers are brutally killed without a rationale. Kristin decides to contact the investigator of nightmare, and once they arrive in Iceland the survey reveals disturbing stories related to an ancient local legend about a hidden people who lived in those lands before human colonization.
