Issue Description
Jason and Glenda both return to Cornwall in an attempt to find Merlin and lift the curse. Jason opens the secret door which seals the tomb and confronts Merlin.When he refuses to separate Jason from Etrigan they use the musical spell to try and force him to do their bidding. Quickly though it is revealed that Etrigan was pulling their strings all along and now he is in control of the wizard. He leads Merlin to a grove full of hawthorn which is poison to him and when he dies The Demon is set free. Now separated from Jason and able to do what he likes Etrigan decides to let Jason and Glenda live before escaping. The closing scene is of Merlin being tortured in Hell.

Volume Description
House Ad4 part mini-series that came about due to the interest regained for the character after Alan Moore included Etrigan in his Saga of the Swamp Thing run.
DC tasked Matt Wagner with creating a new mini series that featured Moore's re-invented version, including his new status as a rhyming demon. Etrigan would go on to become a popular recurring character in the DC Universe and star in several more volumes of his own.
