Issue Description
SHADOWLAND TIE-IN! As New York City crumbles under the weight of Matt Murdock's new order, his former friends and allies struggle just to hold their lives and world together. But as the pressure builds, Foggy Nelson will make an alliance no one saw coming, while Black Tarantula takes a stand against Daredevil and learns the consequences of crossing the Man without Fear.
In the NYPD safehouse, Foggy Nelson and Dakota North come under attack by Hand ninjas and are saved by Black Tarantula, who isn’t sure that the ninjas who attacked them were under Daredevil’s control. Elsewhere in Hell’s Kitchen, Detective Kurtz witnesses a holdup foiled by a pair of teenagers dressed up as Hand ninjas in which one of the youngsters is killed by a robber’s bullet.
Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Master Izo, Nelson, and North discuss what to do next. Izo stresses that the Beast has “wormed its way inside” Murdock and they must act quickly. Nelson thinks Kingpin has been behind everything, and Kingpin appears and asks the heroes how many lives will be lost while they decide whether or not to act.
In Shadowland, Black Tarantula questions Daredevil’s actions and Daredevil chokes Tarantula, pushes him, and tells him to remind “[the people] who their lord is”. Next Nelson and North drive to pick up Becky Blake, but are overtaken by a rioting mob and are separated in the fray. Black Tarantula appears with Hand ninjas and is confronted by White Tiger, who claims she has a message from Daredevil. She tells him that Daredevil ordered all looters to be executed, and Tarantula thinks the idea is insane. While he has his back to her, she stabs him with a sword, saying she is “ushering in the final descent of man”, and pushes him off a rooftop onto a car, leaving him for dead.
