Issue Description
Daredevil takes the cross he was given to Doctor Strange to see if it has any magical properties or connections, but none are found. However, it did contain a drug that makes one highly susceptible to suggestion and unable to reason logically. They then summon Mephisto to see if there are any signs of the Christian apocalypse. He says there are none and that Daredevil should check on his mother. When he gets back to the church, everybody except his mother is dead. Bullseye then attacks him after making numerous references to J.D Salinger's Catcher in the Rye. Bullseye gets the advantage, but Karen arrives and tries to trade the baby for Daredevil's life. However, the baby is a fake, and so they give him the real one, but before Bullseye leaves, he tosses Daredevil's billy club at him but Karen jumps in the way saving Matt's life at the cost of her own her last words were "I'll miss you".

Volume Description
Volume 2 (continued from volume 1)
Part of the Marvel Knights imprint, with a top writer Kevin Smith and artist Joe Quasada at the series' helm. With issue 26, Brain Micheal Bendis took over the series, which lasted until issue 81, making it one of the longest running and most critically acclaimed runs for any writer on the character. After issue #119, the series reverts to its original numbering of volume 1 with issue #500, collecting two volumes into one. The volume ends at issue #512. After this point it becomes Black Panther: Man Without Fear. Daredevil's adventures continued with Daredevil Volume 3.
