New York City is a jungle, a dangerous landscape of bad guys and worse guys.
Terry Smalls is a self-serving community activist who makes his living off of his famous black militant father, Wayne Smalls. When he accepts a gift from Antanku, a strange African cleric, he finds himself at the center of a bloody, violent power struggle, and becomes heir to a timeless African tribal legend.

Volume Description
Terry Smalls is the son of a hero of the Black Panther Movement, but he’s as corrupt as his father was. In fact the premise of this tale is that everybody is on the take, which makes for some excellent writing from Christopher Priest, as the likeable community activist becomes the focus of attention of the Cult of the Black Lion. An intriguing beginning for this spinoff from Quantum & Woody, sadly curtailed by the closure of Acclaim’s publishing division.
