Volume Description

Petersen Publications' iconic homage to the American hot rod. Started in 1959 by Carl Kohler and artist Pete Millar, the series ran for some 182 issues (#5 - #186) until 1991. It was a B&W, magazine-size book for most of its life, with color covers. Early issues had a non-standard 5.5" x 7.5" format. Featured artists such as Alex Toth, Russ Manning, and Willie Ito.
