Meanwhile, Dr. Kate Corrigan, searching rural France for a clandestine text with the secret to bringing Roger back to life, finds herself a guest in a strange shop on the site of a castle that was destroyed over half a century ago.

The seller, Thierry, appears to be the long dead Marquis Adoet de Fabre, the owner of the castle, a fierce collector and negociator, mysteriously not aging since the destruction of his castle.

If put in sequential order with the other B.P.R.D. minis and one-shots, the five issues of this miniseries would be #24-28, following B.P.R.D.: The Black Flame and preceding B.P.R.D.: Garden of Souls.
