Thorn comes to Booster and Skeets' aid in the lair of the 1000, as Mindancer and Blackguard attack the heroes in "Crash."
Booster and Black Guard are going to be cut in half with a solar drill by Mindancer with the help of the 1000. Fortunately for Booster Thorn has followed Booster into the secret lair to save him. After Thorn frees Booster, Skeets and Blackguard they attack Mindancer. Mindancer uses her psionic powers and is able to take control of Blackguard's mind and with the help of an battle android they fight Booster and Thorn. Booster, Thorn and Skeets are able to win the battle but Mindancer gets away.

One of the first of the new titles and characters appearing after the Crisis on Infinite Earths. This volume featured the debut of the time traveling hero Boost Gold created by Dan Jurgens. The title ran for 25 issues, which propelled Booster Gold to become a recurring member of the Justice League.
