As Blue Beetle struggles to establish himself as the protector of El Paso and Cuidad Juarez, he finds himself thrown into the heart of the immigration struggle, made all the more complicated by the involvement of Intergang -- and another, more mysterious, figure. This volume also introduces Brenda and Paco and showcases the Jaime's first interaction with the Scarab and all the insanity that ensues afterword!

After this volume was cancelled, Jaime's adventures continued as a co-feature in the back of Booster Gold in the following issues: 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, and 29.
