Issue Description
Western comic book action at it’s finest!! We start off this issue with a brand-new cover piece by the great Alan Weiss- featuring an awesome rendition of The HAUNTED HORSEMAN- who then leads off the leather-slappin’ action inside with an untitled story that pits HH against deadly Kiowa raiders in a tale written by Gardner Fox and illustrated by Dick Ayers. Then, it’s the masked avenger from Prize Comics; The BLACK BULL, in “Was On The Range”, with spectacular art by Will Elder & John Severin. The DURANGO KID chimes in with “The Death I Almost Died”, with art by Joe Certa & John Belfi; followed by Frank Bolle’s RED MASK in “The Unknown Treasure”; The LONE RIDER (drawn by Ken Battefield ) in “Big Trouble”; a return engagement by John Severin drawing WYATT EARP in “Ghost Town’, AND a personal letter from cowboy movie great MONTE HALE and news of the new Monte Hale website. Great classic cowboy comics reprints from Magazine Enterprises, Prixe, Ajax-Farrell and Charlton, all crisp, clean & perfect. 44 pages, black & white with color covers, saddle-stitched. Standard Best of the West size, printed in 2007.
