Issue Description

In the last weeks of the winter of 1929, tensions escalate between the Communists, National Socialists, and Berlin police. Gudrun Braun becomes more deeply involved with Otto the Communist and agrees to march in the upcoming May Day demonstration. Having overcome his writers' block, Kurt returns to the typewriter with renewed energy and intent. Meanwhile, Marthe learns the truth about Anna's romantic interest in her and must confront her own conflicted feelings, which are complicated by her entanglement in the life of Pola, the artists' model.
