Cpl. Carl Brady had just been commissioned in the field for one simple reason! Every Officer from Captain Klein on down was dead or back in the field hospital... all the Sergeants had had it... and it was up to Bray to get the pitifully few men left up onto the ridge! This was February, 1945... Von Rundstedt's Nazis were fighting fanatically to hold their position... and the regiment would be wiped out if Lt. Bray's company failed!
