Issue Description
The issues begins with Batman facing off with Riddler at the top of Gotham's clock tower. Riddler kicks Batman off the tower and into a power line where he is electrocuted. Batman has an out-of-body experience in which he sees his mother and father, Martha and Thomas Wayne. They let him know they are proud of him and he has "fulfilled" his vow to them. Bruce's parents let him know they were able to see him from the other side and it is time for them to be reunited. Unbeknownst to Bruce, a paramedic gives him an adrenaline shot which whisks him away from his parents although his is still out of body. A bystander exclaims to a child dressed as batman that the shows over and Batman got what all heroes get eventually. Batman comes to in a hospital, the doctor lets him know the electric shock from the power line through him of the line itself before he could be burnt badly. When the doctor turns his back Batman disappears. Alfred picks up Batman and notices that he doesn't seem his normal self and is not talking at all. The scene shifts to Tommy, the kid who witnessed the fight between Riddler and Batman. It is the next morning, Tommy's mom is scolding him for waking her and her boyfriend up pretending to be Batman. The boyfriend comes at Tommy, and Tommy takes him down and runs off. In the Batcave, Alfred takes a call from Gotham Police Headquarters for Batman, and states the Riddler has another riddle. Batman, still not talking, shows up at the place Riddler's Riddle designated, a restaurant named Windows of Gotham. Batman quickly takes down Riddler's goons while the Riddler himself escapes. While he flees the Riddler comments that something appeared to be off with Batman. We cut back to Tommy with what appears to be himself on a rooftop. He slips and falls off, catching himself on a flag pole on the side of the building he hangs and pops his shoulder out of place. Shortly after a fire truck comes and rescues Tommy from hanging on the side of the building. Batman thinks to himself "missing something...can't think what".
