THE STORY SO FAR...
The superhero civil war is over. The Superhuman Registration Act remains the law. Captain America chooses to surrender when he realises that the battle is doing more harm than good - civilians have lost faith in their heroes. A few days later, while being transported to court, Cap is assassinated. The group of Avengers that followed Cap refuse to surrender and go underground. They are hunted by Iron Man's Avengers team and SHIELD.
The " Secret Avengers" receive a message from Maya Lopez, a woman who has been battling organised crime in Japan as Ronin. Maya is killed by Elektra, who is now leading the ninja clan The Hand. They magically resurrect Maya, intending to control her. The Secret Avengers arrive in Japan and rescue Maya. As the Avengers battle the Hand, the mind-controlled Maya stabs Doctor Strange...
